Australians flying into and out of Europe should be aware that volcanic activity in Iceland is continuing and that further disruptions to flights could occur with little warning.

You should monitor the local media as well as relevant airport and airline websites for the most up-to-date information.
Passengers affected by flight delays should, in the first instance, contact their airline and/or insurance company for advice and assistance. Individual airlines are offering a range of options to travellers affected by flight delays, including rebooking and waiving cancellation fees, and the provision of temporary accommodation and food vouchers.
Keep in contact with your family and friends in Australia to keep them informed of your whereabouts and well-being.
